The most basic service package is a bath and brush out. This includes a bath, using all natural shampoos and conditioners, a towel and/or blow drying (depending on the type of fur, and tolerance level of the dog), brushing of the fur to neaten and remove loose undercoat, or to remove minor tangles, as well as an ear cleaning and nail trimming. The price of this package will vary based on the breed and size of the dog.
Some dogs require a more involved groom, in addition to the bath and brush service provided to every pet. We provide haircuts ranging from just a light trim, to a full body grooming, depending on the needs of the dog, and on the wishes of the customer. The prices of these will also vary, based on breed, and on the amount of time and work needed to complete the groom.

We require all pets to be up-to-date on their Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, and Bordatella (Kennel Cough) vaccines. Please bring the most current records with you at the time of your groom, or you may have your vet fax us the vaccination information. If your pet is in need of a vaccine update, please wait 48 hours before getting him/her groomed. The stress and excitement of being in a new environment may cause a negative reaction to the vaccine(s).
Owners must inform Shaggy Chic if your pet(s) bite(s), has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets, or specific grooming procedures. Muzzles may be used, if necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet, and protects both the pet and the groomer. Shaggy Chic reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pet(s) at any time before or during the grooming process.
Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. Mats left in a pets coat only grow tighter, and can strangle the pet's skin, or eventually tear it open. Shaggy Chic does not wish to cause serious or undue stress to your pet, and will not continually de-mat your pet for you. Mats can be very difficult to remove, and may require the pet to be shaved. This would be done in the best interest of your pet and their health. Remember, it's only hair.
Shaggy Chic will always endeavor to complete your pet's groom in the allotted 2-3 hour time slot, although sometimes set-backs may occur and time may run over. We will call and let you know in the case of that happening. If you feel that we may have finished early, and want to pick up, please call ahead first. If you arrive to pick up your pet and it is still being groomed, please do NOT talk to it or allow it to see you. Step outside for a few moments. Every effort will be made to insure your pet is groomed as safely as possible, but an excited pet can be dangerous to continue to work on. If you insist on talking to your pet, or the groomer, Shaggy Chic reserves the right to end the grooming session, even if the groom is not completed, and the full grooming price will be charged.
